Footwear manufacturing technology providers Atom and Cerim have merged to form a new company, Avantium. They are equal partners in the new venture.

They said that establishing a new company in which the technology offerings from both Italian machinery providers will join together would allow them to have a stronger presence in the international market and optimise customer service, while keeping the workforce of both constituent companies in place.
