Footwear manufacturers, tanners and leathergoods producers in Bangladesh brought in export revenues of more than $1 billion in the first ten months of the current financial year, the period from July 2021 to April 2022.

This figure indicates an increase of more than 30% year on year and it now seems certain that the wider leather industry will surpass an export target of $1.03 billion that the country’s export promotion bureau set it for the full financial year.
