Court finds for adidas in dispute over stripes

The Court of Justice of the European Union has dismissed an appeal from Belgian footwear company Shoe Branding Europe claiming that it should be allowed to bring to market athletic shoes with two stripes.

Adidas opposed the Belgian company's branding in a long-running dispute, eventually won the support of the Court of Justice in Luxembourg on February 24.
