Fire destroys part of Vaude's headquarters

The headquarters of German outdoor footwear and apparel brand Vaude have been severely damaged in a fire caused by lightening striking the roof of the Obereisenbach-based facilities during a thunderstorm.

Firefighters were on the scene quickly but could not stop the blaze spreading across the roof.
