Guatemala: local shoe producers are meeting only 30% of market demand

Guatemala’s national footwear association has said local manufacturers are supplying only 30% of the shoes consumers in the country buy each year. In recent comments to local media, the association’s president, Bayron Almorza, said people in Guatemala are currently buying 45 million pairs of shoes a year, around 2.8 pairs per person on average....
