Q2 Bata India sales up 18%

Footwear manufacturer Bata India has reported a 18% increase in sales for its second quarter. Sales for the period totalled 4.3 billion rupees ($77.8 million), while profits grew 29% to 409.8 million.

The company opened 35 Bata stores, seven Hush Puppies stores and four Footin stores during the three-month period.
