Bangladesh reports rapid rise in shoe sector earnings

The footwear sector in Bangladesh recorded export turnover of $335.5 million during the financial year 2011-12. According to the country’s Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) export turnover for the prior-year period was just $297.8 million.
