US-based footwear company The Jones Group has named George Sharp executive vice president of design, a newly created position. Mr Sharp, who brings more than 25 years of creative experience to the role.

He most recently served as creative director and executive vice president of design for lifestyle brand, and prior to this as vice president of design for women’s fashion brand Ellen Tracy.
