Clarks installs new US handling system
UK footwear brand Clarks has announced that the material handling systems at its new logistics facility in Hanover, Pennsylvania, will be supplied by warehouse automation provider, KNAPP.
At a recent ceremony at the site of the distribution centre, which will be located directly opposite the company’s current facility, the management of Clarks Companies, North America (CCNA) said that the logistics solution will be designed and installed by Austrian group KNAPP’s US subsidiary, KNAPP Logistics Automation. This order continues Clarks’ collaboration with KNAPP, as the company installed the handling system at Clarks’ worldwide headquarters in Street, Somerset, in 2005. That system has been upgraded several times since by KNAPP and continues to be maintained by a resident team of KNAPP engineers.
