Rogers to showcase new materials

Rogers Corporation will be showcasing its new PORON XRD Extreme Impact Protection material at the upcoming Northwest Apparel and Footwear Materials Show, to be held at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, March 11-12.

The company claims that the new material raises the bar for performance and protection standards, acting as a layer of wearable protection against repeated impacts. PORON XRD materials are lightweight and flexible so they will not constrict freedom of movement or range of motion, allowing athletes to achieve their peak performance level.

Also featured will be PORON Performance Urethane materials for footwear applications, including PORON Plus for high energy return, PORON Performance for high levels of impact absorption, PORON Slow Rebound for custom contouring, and PORON Dual Layer which combines two distinct materials to provide a multi-functional composite.

PORON open-cell urethanes maintain like-new softness, flexibility and shape along with shock absorption and moisture management properties, resulting in maximum comfort, Rogers says. They are available in a broad range of formulations, densities, thicknesses and colours to meet designer and manufacturer application needs.
