Switzerland and Germany-based anti-stress footwear manufacturer Rieker received the Best Ladies Brand award at the Independent Footwear Retailers Association (IFRA) awards. The ceremony took place at Moda on February 15 in Birmingham, UK.

Rieker won the award for the sixth time in as many years and was also runner-up in both the Best Men's Brand and Customer Service categories. 

The awards were combined with an awards dinner for the Society of Shoe Fitters to mark the society’s 50^th birthday and the event was attended by some of the biggest names in UK footwear design, manufacturing and retail.

Ewen Campbell, managing director, of Rieker, Europe North, said: “Winning this award for the sixth time in as many years is really special. The award is recognition of the fact that we have delivered consistently high quality products, great value and after sales support. Thankfully this has resulted in extraordinary levels of customer loyalty and we have been extremely successful, despite the difficult trading conditions this year.”

The brand was established by Heinrich Rieker in 1874 and now operates in more than 60 countries across the globe.
