ANCI gets global view on ‘Made in Italy’ shoes
ANCI, the National Association of Italian Footwear Manufacturers, is opening new lines of communication with young people in order to understand their perceptions of ‘Made in Italy’ products.
“The association”, says ANCI’s new general manager, Fabio Aromatici, “has launched, via the site www.zooppa.com, a competition for the realisation of a video advert or a scene that talks about the concepts of excellence linked to Italian footwear manufacture. The objective, on one hand, is to understand what young people around the world think of the sector that ANCI represents and, on the other, to acquire and develop new creative input and therefore bring nourishment to made-in-Italy footwear through contemporary language and communication means.”
According to ANCI, young creative talents from Italy, France, Germany, the US, Russia and the UK represent markets that are strategically important for footwear exports. Those involved will be asked to express, based on a given brief, the concepts of quality and design, culture and history, artisanship and innovation that distinguish Italian shoes throughout the world.
The competition will end February 26. Winning projects will be presented at Micam, which runs March 4-7 at the Milano-Rho trade fair complex.
