The Brazilian Association of Suppliers of Components to the Leather, Footwear and Leathergoods Industries (Assintecal) is hoping that Anpic will be of real benefit to Brazilian participants this year. The fair will take place in León, Mexico, from February 19-22.

According to the association, the 2008 event was very successful, with $800,000 worth of business transactions received. Assintecal hopes that the footwear components sector will generate $5 billion during the 12 months following the event.

Assintecal will also present design and materials ideas at the Inspirations Forum for leather, footwear and leathergoods for summer 2010. It hopes the Forum will help promote the design and versatility of Brazilian components companies.
