Representatives of the footwear industry travelled from Brazil at the end of January to attend a one-day workshop hosted in Tunis by the union of industry, commerce and artisanship of Tunisia.
With the African country's minister for industry in attendance, representatives of a variety of industries talked about establishing a strategic partnership.
Brazil is Tunisia's sixth most important export market, and is in the top 20 trading partners from which it imports goods and services.
Trade between the two nations reached $600 million last year, from $260 million in 2005.
