New Converse styles for spring
Converse
has launched an expanded footwear collection for spring 2009 including
new silhouettes, designs, fabrications and materials. The company has
also broadened its Jack Purcell and Converse by John Varvatos lines and
reissued the Weapon ’86 shoe.
Built on the foundation of the
Jack Purcell shoe, the company has debuted the Jack Purcell IT version
with refined, rugged high–tops. Crisp black patent contrasts with
supple leather uppers in both black and white versions, while padded
collar uppers with two rows of D-ring eyelets offer a rugged, clean
look.
“The Converse spring collection is exciting and varied,” says John Hoke, vice president, global footwear. “Jack Purcell and Converse by John Varvatos have both come into their own as bold and exciting premium lines with very distinct personalities. The debut of our Weapon ’86 collection brings the true spirit and fun of the game back onto the parquet or the street.”
