The requirements manufacturers are placing on corrected grain leathers and leather for shoe uppers are steadily increasing, according to specialty chemicals provider Clariant.
The company has an established range of finishing products that offer impregnation resins especially developed to meet the quality expectations of today's manufacturers, and also suitable auxiliaries to cover all kind of leathers.
The Melio Resin A-700 series contains impregnation acrylics for all corrected grain shoe upper leathers and for full grain leathers as well. For special purposes Relcanol, a softening oil-based auxiliary is on offer. Furthermore the Melio P-4890 series helps to overcome wetting or penetration difficulties.
The company regards impregnation of leathers using these products as a way of adding value from the bottom up.
