Footwear firm seeks backing from investors (or the government)

The KB Footwear Company has announced that it is looking for equity investors to back its attempt to bring the production of safety footwear back to the US.
It says demand for high quality US-made products is strong and that it already has back-orders to meet.
The company has even said it would welcome investment from the US government, arguing that its efforts to re-establish the manufacture of industrial work and safety footwear in the US, and bring back jobs to US citizens who once worked in the footwear industry is worth government backing.
