New appointment at Magnum

Safety footwear brand Magnum has appointed Glen Richards as its new UK category manager. He replaces Barney Gollings who moved to HI-TEC International as international sales and marketing manager at the start of January. Magnum and HI-TEC are part of the same group.
With over 10 years' experience in the safety footwear, workwear and personal protective equipment industry, Glen Richards has joined from the Sunlight Service Group where he worked as the UK sales manager, managing the direct sales division. He has also held senior management positions for Tuf Work & Safety Wear and Greenham.
On taking up his new role, he said: “There is great demand in the UK within the military, emergency services, security and industrial uniform footwear sector for high-quality, specification-led, technical footwear that can stand up to the rigours of daily wear in potentially extreme environments. Magnum is the only company I know that can tick all these boxes, and I am delighted to be joining such a motivated team at such an exciting time in the brand’s development.”
