Tired of the harm to her expensive shoes that the rain, snow and salt on icy roads in her native Chicago were causing, Rebecca Miller has devised and launched a protective boot that she says will act as the perfect shoe umbrella.
Naming her product the Shuella, she has started selling online and has also won a deal to sell them through the Nordstrom store on the city’s most famous shopping street, Michigan Avenue.
The boots fasten up the side with Velcro and fit over flats, boots and even high-heeled shoes quickly and easily. They pack away easily and are available in a full range of women's sizes and four different colours: classic black, hot pink, buttercup yellow and apple green. They are retailing at $49.95.
