A$50,000 grants for TCF companies
The Australian government has announced that its TCF [textile, clothing and footwear] small business programme will make grants worth up to A$50,000 available to small companies in these sectors.
It is offering A$2.5 million in total to give smaller firms a much-needed boost and to help them become more competitive.
According to minister for innovation, industry, science and research, Kim Carr, the grants will be given to companies starting projects in areas such as mentoring, marketing and branding, supply chain, ecommerce and export.
Grant applications close on February 27, 2009.
