Pacific Brands chairman steps down

Pat Handley, the chairman of footwear and clothing wholesaler Pacific Brands, resigned on November 26.
Analysts said they were surprised by the move as they had previously picked up no indication of Mr Handley’s intention to leave his post.
He has handed the chairmanship to board member James MacKenzie.
The company—based in Hawthorn, Victoria—distributes footwear throughout the Asia Pacific region for a wide range of brands, including Merrell, Clarks, Hush Puppies, Candy and Pierre Fontaine.
