The Bata Shoe Museum has added four new online exhibits to its existing seven.

The site now features additional titles including ‘The Perfect Pair: Wedding Traditions from Around the World’, ‘Tradition and Innovation: Northern Athapaskan Footwear’, ‘Our Boots: An Inuit Woman's Art’ and ‘Chronicles of Riches: Treasures from the Bata Shoe Museum’.

Interactive technology and animation, and the ability to zoom in and out, allows online visitors to 'handle' and 'rotate' artefacts online.

"No matter where a visitor is around the world," says Emanuele Lepri, director of the Bata Shoe Museum, "having the ability to see our collection in as much detail as those who visit the Museum in person, provides an important service to our global friends."
