Gucci announces new CEO

Reports from Paris say luxury goods group PPR has named Patrizio di Marco as the next chief executive of its Gucci brand.
Mr di Marco will succeed Mark Lee, who has decided not to renew his contract when it expires at the end of this year. He is currently the head of Bottega Veneta, the luxury leathergoods brand that Gucci acquired in 2001. He will take up his new position in January.
