Vietnamese growth goes on

Of total Vietnamese exports of $36.9 billion between January and July 2008, the share of leather footwear and related products stood at $3.2 billion, a growth of 2.8% compared to last year, according to data released by General Statistics Office of
Vietnam.
The breakdown showed that Vietnam exported leather footwear worth $2.755 billion and leather products worth $483 million during January-July 2008.
During July 2008 alone, Vietnam's footwear exports reached $480 million against $390 million in the corresponding month last year. The export of leather products stood at $80 million, compared to $60 million, in July 2007.
