Footwear index falls

According to Malta’s national statistics office, the retail price index increased to 116 from 115 in June.
The footwear and clothing index fell 5.7%, mainly as a consequence of seasonal sales.
Decreases were also registered by the Household Equipment and House Maintenance Cost Index, the Personal Care and Health Index and the Recreation and Culture Index.
The annual rate of inflation for July stood at 4.8%.
