The polyurethanes division of Huntsman Corporation is to increase the price of its Irogran, Krystal Gran and Krystalflex thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPU) in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent by 5-15% from October 1.

According to the company these increases reflect the “relentless” rise in raw material and feedstock costs, mainly caused by record-high crude oil prices. This affects the cost of raw materials such as benzene, adipic acid and intermediate polyesters.

Huntsman provides chemicals for a range of industries including footwear, textiles, chemicals and plastics.
