Brown Shoe Company has appointed Tim Meyer senior vice president of finance for its retail division. Mr Meyer will be responsible for strategic retail financial planning and analysis and will serve as a business partner for Brown Shoe's retail brands, including its Famous Footwear division.

Mr Meyer brings 25 years of corporate finance experience to Brown Shoe. Most recently, he served as vice president of real estate strategy for Claire's North America division. Prior to that, he was vice president and controller for Macy's in the company's northern division.
