Marvel Entertainment Inc and Leomil NV have signed a multi-year licensing agreement granting the shoe company exclusive category rights for Marvel-branded shoes in Europe, including Russia.

The multi-million dollar licensing deal encompasses all characters in the Marvel Universe for merchandise ranging from fashion, casual and sports shoe styles. It allows Leomil to create footwear based on classic characters and to develop lines inspired by upcoming Marvel feature films including Iron Man 2, Thor and The Avengers.

The agreement builds on an existing deal between the two companies for the Spider-Man franchise.
