Taiwanese investors seek opportunities in Indonesia

According to reports, more than a dozen Taiwanese investors are looking to invest in Indonesia’s shoe sector. Several are said to have announced they will set up shoemaking factories with production capacities of up to 180,000 pairs per month.

The businessmen from Taiwan are set to travel to Indonesia to investigate the opportunities available to them. Their investments could help Indonesia reach its $1.9 billion footwear export target.
