US basketball stars to wear Nike in Beijing
Nike is to supply the kit for the USA Basketball Men's National Team at the upcoming Beijing Olympics. The firm is to release a new commercial to capture the essence of the team's commitment to its ultimate goal, Olympic gold.
The advert shows a team practice and showcases the collection of star-studded athletes taking part in basketball drills and scrimmages. Nike athletes including Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Jason Kidd, Carmelo Anthony (Jordan Brand), Chris Paul (Jordan Brand) and Dwyane Wade (Converse), will take part.
Several members of the national team, including Kobe Bryant, will wear the new Hyperdunk colourway. The Hyperdunk is 18% lighter than the company’s average basketball shoe and is the lightest and strongest basketball shoe Nike has ever created.
