Bata Industrials extends presence in Europe
Pakistan-based work and safety footwear manufacturer Bata Industrials is increasing its presence in the European marketplace. One of the keys is participating in several prominent trade exhibitions across Europe. Mr Daems attributes this to the introduction of new products in existing sales markets, for example recently launched Traxx models featuring the Boa lacing system. The company recently entered into partnerships with European companies including Korczak (Poland), Canis Safety (Czech Republic) and Rempo (Slovakia). The brand is being handled by Morandelli in Spain, Advanced Safety in Ireland and Laoved in Israel.
General manager of Bata Industrials and president of the Bata Branded Business Group, Harm Daems, said: “During the first five months of this year, we experienced an amazing growth spurt [in Europe].
“However, we are also gaining an increasingly firmer footing outside of these work areas with existing products,” he said. “Compared with a year ago, we are now active in seven new countries.”
And, in April and May, the company appeared at several exhibitions, including Safety & Fashion @ Work (the Netherlands), SAWO (Poland), Interprotec (Czech Republic) and Elmia Working Environment (Sweden).
