Sustainable shoe brand scores success
END Footwear, a startup sustainable shoe company whose name stands for 'Environmentally Neutral Design', has landed 10 new retail accounts in the southeast of the US.
Its new autumn line, focusing on lightweight trail training and light backpacking footwear, includes seven styles each of men’s and women’s shoes and will be available at retail locations on August 1. The 12 month-old company was founded in Portland, Oregon, by award-winning footwear designer Andrew Estey and business partner Ben Finklea.
New retailers picking up the company’s shoes include the Great Outdoor Provision Company, Rock/Creek, Adventure’s Edge, and Alabama Outdoors.
Chad Baird, footwear buyer for the Great Outdoor Provision Company, said: “We picked END because of its commitment to the environment, excellent price-point and its 'light is right' mentality.”
