Ayesha Export Linkers, a Multan-based footwear manufacturer, has announced plans to set up a semi-mechanised production unit in Lahore.
The company’s Abdul Rasheed Sabir told footwearbiz.com at the recent Juft 2008 exhibition that the new facility would produce between 15,000 and 20,000 pairs of shoes a month to European standards.
It will source leather from a tannery run by National Hide Company, its parent group.
