New footwear materials show

The organisers of the APLF leather event in Hong Kong are to work with a sister organisation in India to launch a new footwear materials and components show in India.
The event, Footwear Materials Manufacturing and Technology will take place for the first time in spring 2009, with capital city New Delhi as the venue. The Indian Footwear Components Manufacturers Association is working with organisers APLF Limited and CMP India on the event, which will include seminar sessions.
The companies behind the event have high hopes of success because the Indian footwear market is growing by around 10% each year, they said.
