China Shoe will acquire to keep expanding

China Shoe Holdings has opened a string of new stores in the Shanghai area and is in talks with major department stores in the region about store-within-store projects.
The company remains committed to a pledge to open 100 new stores in and around Shanghai in the course of 2008 ahead of a nationwide expansion plan next year.
Gu Xiangzhong, chairman and chief executive of China Shoe Holdings, has said that the company will look into the possibility of acquiring mid-sized footwear retail companies in the future to accelerate its expansion.
