Abicalçados attracts footwear buyers to fashion week

The Brazilian Footwear Manufacturers' Association (Abicalçados) is running its 'Buyers' Project' again at the São Paulo Fashion Week in a joint effort with the Brazilian Stylists' Association (Abest).
Starting on Thursday, June 19, the project aimed to impress 18 buyers from overseas with Brazilian products, with emphasis on local design.
The buyers travelled from the United Arab Emirates, Japan, the US, France, Spain, the UK, Australia, Portugal and Kuwait. Part of the exercise involved close contact with local footwear and accessories brands including Cavage, Zeferino, Pollignanno Al Maré, Dania Reiter, Maria Eudoxia, Confraria and La Chica Chic.

Some of these brands are part of the Design Brazil Group, which is formed by stylists who focus on luxury products. Others have been created by the Galeria Group, a concept showroom set up inside one of São Paulo's most luxurious stores.
