Portuguese retailer Sonae has announced plans to expand its new Loop Footwear format outside its home market.

Local media quoted chief executive, Nuno Jordão as saying that after opening about 12 Loop stores in Portugal, Sonae expected to expand first into neighbouring Spain, but he said expansion into central and eastern Europe also made sense.
