Bata Industrials launches safety footwear range

Pakistani manufacturer Bata Industrials has launched a complete range of industrial and safety boots for the domestic
and export markets.

At a safety goods exhibition in Karachi, the export and sales manager of the company, Mahmood Qadir Dar,  www.footwearbiz.com that the boots are manufactured for people working in tough conditions such as factories, oil refineries, power plants, constructions sites and so on.

The boots have full grain leather uppers and  injected PVC soles to minimise fatigue and allow wearers to feel comfortable all day long. They are resistant to most alkalis, acids and oils. The steel toe caps are fitted with rubber protection strips that
eliminate pressure across the toes.

Bata Pakistan has production capacity of 12 million pairs of shoes a year at its Batapur facility in Lahore. At the moment, the safety footwear sector accounts for around 500,000 pairs a year.
