Pakistan exported fewer pairs of footwear in the first ten months of the current financial year compared to the same period a year ago, but the value of the shoes has gone up.

In the period under scrutiny, July 2007–April 2008, the country's footwear manufacturers exported 10.9 million pairs, compared to 12.4 million pairs a year ago. The value for the more recent 10-month period was $96.5 million, compared to $94.6 million.
