Tour takes CLE to Spain next

India’s Council for Leather Exports (CLE) is set to continue a tour of Europe aimed at promoting the leather Indian tanneries produced among European footwear and leathergoods manufacturers.
The road show started in Vienna, Austria on March 25, and continued in the capital of Romania, Bucharest
the next day and Kiev, Ukraine two days later.
Encouraged by its success at these events, CLE is preparing to return to Europe between May 27–30 to take the same road show, which it is calling the Investment Promotion Programme to Spain.
Representatives of CLE will hold meetings with potential buyers of Indian leather in Madrid and in the main country’s footwear manufacturing province, Alicante. Footwear firms from La Rioja are expected to attend the sessions in Madrid.
