Rise in industry visitors cheers Futurmoda

The organisers of the Futurmoda footwear components and machinery exhibition in Alicante have spoken of their relief at a rise in visitors from the business sector.
Around 1,500 representatives of footwear manufacturers came through the doors on each of the first two days, a rise on the past two years' totals.
Chairman of the organising company, Tomás Aznar told Spanish media: “We needed something like this to give the exhibitors a bit of a boost and to help them raise their spirits.
Mr Aznar said he was also pleased by the number of first-time visitors to the event.
In total, there were 120 exhibitors, mostly from Spain, but 15% of them from France, Italy and Portugal.
