Dickies and Rocky Brands extend agreement

Texas-based workwear brand Williamson-Dickie Mfg. Co. has extended its current license agreement, which allows Ohio-based Rocky Brands to manufacture and market footwear under the Dickies brand in the US until 2010. The two companies will have the option to extend the agreement for an additional three years beyond 2010.”

Under the agreement, Rocky Brands holds the exclusive rights to produce Dickies footwear in the US. Its line includes industrial work and slip resistant footwear for both men and women.

“We have enjoyed a mutually-beneficial relationship since 2000,” said Philip Williamson, chief executive officer for Dickies. “Rocky has recognized the uncompromising performance expectations of the Dickies consumer and has applied world class design and production competencies to build a Dickies footwear line that will not disappoint.”
