Intertek offers safety seminars

Manufacturers of safety footwear in China have recently had the benefit of a series of seminars from testing and certification organisation Intertek, aimed at helping footwear manufacturers make sure their products are in keeping with the requirements of European Union safety regulations.
The organisation gave presentations on the subject in Dongguan and Qing Dao. It covered the criteria companies need to fulfil to be able to apply for the CE mark for EU safety footwear, including details of a recent amendment covering slip resistance. Chemical requirements of EU safety footwear also came up for discussion.
Intertek plans to take the seminars to Guangzhou in the near future.
