Atlantic Thermal Plastics (ATP), a footwear components manufacturer owned by Newgrange Group LLC, has announced plans to open a new manufacturing facility in Pocahontas, Arkansas. ATP will employ 100 people immediately, adding approximately 100 more employees by the end of 2009.  The company will invest approximately $3 million in the new operation, which will begin production by June 1.

ATP will create a polyurethane insole product at the Pocahontas facility. The product will be provided to clients such as Red Wing Shoes, Wolverine and the U.S. military. In addition to the insole product, ATP will also manufacture protective rubber boots.
