Fire forces factory evacuation

Firefighters were called to a footwear factory in Purísima, near San Francisco del Rincón, in the Mexican state of Guanajuato yesterday.
Initial reports suggested that material in the factory, owned by footwear brand Mi Lord, had caught fire, causing the facility to fill with smoke very quickly.
Local media said 30 people on the site at the time—and from nearby houses—had to be evacuated and that 11 of them received medical treatment afterwards.
