Italian presence in Beijing

The Italian National Footwear Industries Association (ANCI) took a group of member companies to Beijing in the last week in March.
The 23 footwear brands from different parts of Italy travelled to the Chinese capital to take part in the Beijing Fashion Week
The week-long event included 30 runway shows, competitions, forums and parallel events and represented what the organisers called an important opportunity for the Chinese market to see international fashion collections.
“The Chinese market is showing more and more interest in ‘Made in Italy’ and Chinese consumers are increasingly attracted by the the quality that is the distinguishing feature of Italian footwear”, said ANCI president, Vito Artioli, before leaving for China. “The presence of ANCI in China is therefore part of a wider-ranging promotion programme for Italian footwear in a market where Italy is competitive, namely the top-of-the-range bracket”.
