Goodman to open on Bond Street

Niche couture footwear designer Georgina Goodman has announced that she will open a new store on London's Bond Street, one of the principal shopping streets in the city's West End.
A survivor of the slowdown in footwear manufacturing in its traditional UK heartland, Northampton, Ms Goodman opened her first London store in an out-of-the-way street in Mayfair. From here she built up a reputation for handmade luxury shoes.
Now she wants to expand to Bond Street to take on the big fashion houses head to head. She has said she will also concentrate on non-footwear products, especially jewellery.
The new store, on the site of a former art gallery, will open on April 12.
