CICEG president re-elected

José Antonio Abugaber Andonie has been re-elected president of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of the Footwear Industry of the State of Guanajuato. This is his third term in office.
The main programme set up during Mr. Agugaber’s time in office is the Mexicanshoes Quality Certification Programme that seeks to improve manufacturing systems in Mexico through proven methodology adapted to the reality of the local footwear industry in order to attend to the needs of local and international markets.
Mr. Abugaber is a tough defender of the Mexican footwear industry and is always engaged in activities that seek to stop contraband and illegal imports mainly from China and South-east Asia which he believes are crippling the local industry.
