YoungOne plans world’s biggest shoe factory
According to local media reports South Korean garment and footwear manufacturer YoungOne Corp. is planning to build the largest footwear production facility in the world, at a cost of $100 million, near the city of Chittagong in Bangladesh.
Construction of the factory is set to begin in the next few months and, once complete in mid-2009, it will reportedly boast production capacity of 100,000 pairs per day and employ an astounding 30,000 people.
