Military steps up orders for Danner footwear

Having already received a $900,000 delivery order for its Danner boots from the United States Marine Corps (USMC) earlier this month (see www.footwearbiz.com February 11, 2008), LaCrosse Footwear, Inc. has announced further business orders worth a total of $1.3 million.

Under the new deals, Danner will supply 5,320 pairs of its Danner Marine Hot boot to US Marines in the first half of this year, and 3,334 pairs of its Mountain Cold Weather Boot by the end of the second quarter, all of which will be manufactured at the company's ISO 9001-certified facility in Portland, Oregon.
